Encasing Structure's Content

This is a weekly blog that I have created with the sole purpose of creating a hand bound book once a month. I will be showing the entire process from start to finish. Although I would appreciate some mention of credit, please feel free to use and share any information found on this blog. The creative process rarely happens in a vacuum.

Explanation of Monthly Posts

Since this is my first entry for this blog, an explanation of what the blog will be is in order.

It is my own monthly challenge to create a book a month.  The blog will be organized as follows:

Week 1  (posted the first week of the month) - Challenge Introduction - this entry will contain all the information about my monthly challenge, the content, and book form I plan to use.

Week 2 (posted the second week of the month) - this entry will contain information about the books content and the creation of that content.  So brainstorming ideas, materials, techniques, demonstrations, problems, essentially the why, what and how of the form and content for the book.

Week 3 (posted the third week of the month) - continuation of the content pages or their equivalent.

Week 4 (posted the fourth week of the month) - this entry will be about the binding, materials, techniques, demonstrations, etc.
and will show in detail the finished piece.

Please feel free to join me in these monthly challenges, use any techniques or binding information or demos, or simply use as inspiration for your own books.

Thanks for visiting!

Sheila
